If you were wondering what we do here…

We create “branded utilities” — what we’ve been calling “branded software experiences”. (Or for those of you who’d like it without the fancy jargon, we make web apps and get brand advertisers to sponsor them.)

“[Branded Utility] is where the brand creates a commitment to a relationship. It’s where the brand creates something useful to you, something that’s a utility in your life. The consumer will feel more confident with the relationship if the brand will continue to be part of your life.”

–Benjamin Palmer, CEO/Owner, The Barbarian Group, October 2006

(We think he Mr. Palmer — a competitor in the traditional sense — said it well. And a full month before we were even in business.)

Lifted this from slide 61 of a great presentation on the future of advertising.
