Easy as Carbon Free Pie

We’re doing something kind of neat… we’re going to offset our carbon emissions by buying credits through www.carbonfund.org. From their website:

Carbonfund.org reduces the threat of climate change by making it easy and affordable for any individual or business to reduce their carbon footprint and support climate-friendly projects.

It took five minutes and for the year it cost a grand total of $115.47 for a year (if I did the calculations right, still waiting to hear back). Given that we’re a three person outfit, in 1000 square feet, it was really a no brainer cost-wise. But we also included our commutes and car/air travel for work (best guesses for the coming year). Especially for software businesses there’s no reason not to do this given that we don’t do any traditional carbon emission producing manufacturing or shipping. And when you become a partner you get featured on the Carbonfund website as well.

Are you going to stop breathing? With every breath you exhale carbon dioxide.

Global warming is the liberals creationism– faith pretending to be science.

But selling these bogus “carbon credits” that’s the best idea yet since selling people a chance to name stars!
