Waste of Effort

Why did Fry’s Electronics (the California-based quirky geek-focused electronic superstore) go through all the effort to get their domain name if the result is their horrible website. I’m going to say its from around 2000. All I really wanted was the hours of the Seattle store. I swear it took me 10 minutes (and a side trip to a comment on Digg) to actually find a link to the store locations under the Customer Service link. And while they do list the store’s phone number, they don’t list the store’s hours (despite claiming in the link to the page that they do). ‘Conveniently‘, calling the store reveals no recording with their hours. I suppose at the very least I can (probably) conclude that they’re not open at this very moment since they’re not answering their phone.
