Change is Fun
This is not new information certainly. The music industry (specifically the labels) must be having a fun time lately.
Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails recently posted the following:
TechCrunch wrote this about Madonna’s latest deal:
“According to reports, Madonna has signed a $120million deal with L.A. based concert promotion firm Live Nation to distribute three studio albums, promote concert tours, sell merchandise and license Madonna’s name.”
I think change is exciting. You never know how things will end up. It’s cool watching everyone try and predict how it will end up.
Someone will be smart enough to figure out how to position their business to take advantage of this change. Or maybe they’ll just get lucky.
