Adorable Devices

I don’t know what it is that stopped me from getting a Nabaztag cause despite it’s non-obvious usefulness I could use an internet connected customizable plastic rabbit that can “sniff” RFID tags. (Note to readers, be careful searching for “rabbit internet device”. The first Google ad is not a nabaztag.) In fact, I’m psyched for internet devices, but I decided to go the way of the Chumby. Unlike the Nabaztag, the Chumby is like a little pillow. More importantly, it has a screen. Now if only they would make one with a built-in camera. That would be perfect. I haven’t even switched it on yet but had to share the adorable little sack my black chumby came in. I’ll let you know if it does anything interesting.

We got our hands on one of these a while back. The makers were kind enough to ship us one back when there were only a few to be had. Sadly we did little more than make it an alarm clock you could throw with less of a chance of destruction.

I was just thinking the other day that with the Alpha of the Adobe Integrated Runtime ( AIR ) for Linux there might be some more possibilities.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!
