A Small Amount of Healthy Fantasizing (Future Office Fantasy #1)
We’re still in our first year here at Jackson Fish. We’ve shipped one small app of our own and helped a client ship one of theirs. It’s always important (and even more so in these early stages) to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground. And luckily there are plenty of things that constantly remind us of reality.
That’s why I think it’s OK that once in awhile we can have a small amount of healthy fantasizing about later success. For some reason, ours is never about going public, being bought, having hundreds of employees, or even changing the world (is that OK to admit?). Ours is always about office space. Specifically, it’s about where it will be located and what facilities and design elements will fill it.
There’s been a lot of classic Super Friends watching in my house as of late. I’ve noticed that said Super Friends are always talking to people or looking at diagrams on enormous screens.
I’ve decided that we absolutely must have an enormous screen on which to review diagrams, look at analyses from our computer banks, and of course have real-time communication exchanges with global authorities in need of our services.
PS: If we ever decide to open an office in Cincinnati, clearly the only building that will house our enormous monitor is this one.
